ALTERNATIVE ECONOMIC SYSTEM
One economic system ruled some parts of the world in the name of communism, and India copied it in the name of Mahalobnis model, and named it also ‘nationalisation’ and after 1991’s collapse of communist Russia, we left it also. From then we copied the model prevalent at that time throughout the world under the leadership of America and it is succinctly called ‘Capitalism’ and after the great economic meltdown in America two years ago, it is believed that it won’t work also. Though some hardcore communists are expecting the revival of communism as well, but there is the least possibility of this. Now progressing at this time is Chinese model, whether a model or not in true sense, but there is a craze to copy it which seems a mixture of communism and capitalism. But there are defects visible in this model also and natural resources are depleting and public liberty is jeopardized.
Here there is a search for another economic model but no where it is visible. India can claim to offer an alternative economic model which it has developed over the centuries, and successfully too. There is a class of people with a strong inferiority complex, and never admit that there was a strong economic order in this country. Sh. P Chidambaram is said to have denied it vehemently, and Gurumurthy quotes online Wikipedea showing a book The World Economy: A Millennium Perspective by Angus Medisson claiming a 32.9% share in world GDP in the first century and 28.9% share by 1000 AD remaining for centuries together in number position of the world. But strange thing is that with such an economic progress, there were no negative signs on the ecology and environment of the country, and there was no loot of other countries as well as. The signs of perversions which are visible in economically strong countries like America were not the least visible in our country, the research shows.It is one of the bases to claim India still can deliver the message which is required for the world.
Gandhiji, Dharampalji, Deendayals ja and Thengadi ji have delved deep into the matter and have shown the alternative economic model in the form of Hind Swaraj, Integral Humanism and Third Way respectively. Our economic model will be a clashless model, where there is no conflict but co-existence, which Deen Dayalji said Akhandmandalakar style of living. BMS shows the way somehow, by rejecting: Chahe jo majboori ho, Hamari Mange Poori Ho by Deshi ke Hit mein Karenge Kaam, Kaam ke lenge pure Daam. The research of Bajaj group’s model shown by Prof CK Chakroborti in his book Transformation Through Values shows some practical way also.
Secondly, our model will not be progress centric but man-centric. Jobless growth ignores the very basis of man and it is the result of this new model of development. The example of car companies which instead of changing the car which results in death claims, prefers to give money for insurance claims, because that is cheap for them. The cost of human value is not considered in their estimates.Similarly human values are thrown to the winds for the sake of earning money, and it is visible in the case of pornography and advertisements.
Thirdly, the common man should never be ignored. We called it Dridranarayan, Antyodaya in Integral Humanism, it is of the prime concern in our value system. Now the tragedy of modern system should be shown which has given rise to increasing economic disparity in the world over. There is ample data and example to prove this, and it should be stressed as well. More examples to be selected from Indian system to show the contrary, say from the life of Swami Vivekanand, Ramchandra hearing to Dhobi’s voice, Krishana working for the common man and fighting the kings as well, Shivji baraat by common man, or the lowest of the lowly. But such examples won’t work because their veracity is not confirmed. Strangely enough the opposite example of discrimination on the basis of caste, creed colour and sex are flaunted by a section of secularists to prove a unjust economic system in our country. They will not fill bored by quoting Eklavaya, and Supreme Court too found it necessary to quote this example to illustrate a classic anecdote of discrimination to the aboriginals, or say Adivasis. Similarly examples of Ram’s killing Shadhikari, but convneniently forgetting the treatment of affection meted out to Shabri, and respect shown to Nishadraj and the like. Still new examples from recent history are to be selected. Dharampal’s example and some examples from other authors should be selected.
Fourthly, the crime against Nature is to be stressed. It is Unsustainable growth system. From Rashel Carson’s The Silent Spring to Schumakhar’s Small is Beautiful are classical esamples. Jal, Jangle Jameen and Janwar tragedy is to be reflected. Now new threat to agricultural land becoming barren, loss of certain endangered species of animal and natural life, flora and fauna with good illustrations should be shown. Our programmes on rivers, and esp. Ganga, Cow Sammelan, our previous rituals should be exhibited properly.
Fifth point is DECENTRALIZED growth with contents of swadeshi life style. Family based economic order with western jeopardized family specy should be shown properly with examples from Gurumurthy ji. Similarly village based economic order, concept of PURA and how it was improved by Nanaji Deshkukh example of Dhitrakot by APJ Abdul Kalam. Elinor Ostram, nobel laureate in economics is a good example. Similarly local products are best for economic growth can be exhibited well with example of Locavore movement. Pathmeda gushala and example of decentralized indigenous system and cluster study of Kanagsabhapati is also to be taken notice of.
Some other points of spiritual leadership and with the quotation of Gunnar Myrdle quoted by Bajaranglal ji, and how SMS COMES that American boast that their dogs play football, Japanese with their fishes dancing to tunes, Chinese with elephants running bycles and Indian belittling them all by saying: Our donkeys are running the Government. Hamare Gadhe Government chalate hai.
At the end we can give examples of 1,40,000 innovations beng made by rural youth, and mostly undermetriculates, or school drop-outs, and the achievements gained in the recent Commonwealth games achieved by our sportsmen with indigenous ways of practicing and coaching, Krishna punia, Ravi Kumar of Orissa and Mira Kumari , daughter of a taxi-drivers. A joke of women chasing a bus for boarding of Haryana and driver not stopping it and at last, saying How could I know that you were running to board the bus I thought you were preparing for participation in Olympic contests.

राज्य के कृषि मंत्री प्रभुलाल सैनी द्वारा प्रदेश में जैनेटीकली मोडिफाइड सरसांे (जी‐एम‐सरसो) के खुले परीक्षण की अनुमति नहीं दिया जाना एक स्वागत योग्य कदम



राज्य के कृषि मंत्री प्रभुलाल सैनी द्वारा प्रदेश में जैनेटीकली मोडिफाइड सरसांे (जी‐एम‐सरसो) के खुले परीक्षण की अनुमति नहीं दिया जाना एक स्वागत योग्य कदम है।प्रदेश के कृषि मंत्री द्वारा इन विवादित बीजो के परीक्षण की अनुमति नहीं दिया जाना प्रदेश के कृषि जैव द्रव्य की शुद्वता के लिये आवश्यक कदम है। स्वदेशी जागरण मंच, भारतीय किसान मंच, भरतीय मजदूर संघ, ग्राहक पंचायत, लघु उघोग भारती एवं सहकार भारती सरकार के इस निर्णय का स्वागत करते हैं। देश के पारिस्थितिकी तंत्र एवं जन-स्वास्थ्य के लिए सर्वथा असुरक्षित जैनेटीकली मोडिफाइड फसलों (जी‐एम‐ फसलांे) के परीक्षण के विरुद्व एक जन हित याचिका सर्वोच्च न्यायलय में विचाराधीन होने पर भी पिछली यू‐पी‐ए‐ सरकार में पर्यावरण मंत्री, वीरप्पा मोईली ने, जन स्वास्थ्य एवं पर्यावरण की अनदेखी करते हुए कई जी‐ एम‐ फसलो की खुल्ले में अनुमति दे दी थी। इन फसलो के पर्यावरण व जन स्वास्थ्य पर प्रतिकुल प्रभावांे को देखते हुए ही यूरोपीय संघ सहित विश्व के अधिकांश देशो में आज तक इन जी‐एम‐ फसलों के परीक्षण पर रोक है। लेकिन, देश में बीजों के 5-6 लाख करोड़ रुपयोे के बाजार को देखते हुए मोन्सेण्टो व एवेन्टिस जैसी बहुराष्ट्रीय कम्पनीयाँ, अपने धन-बल से कई देशो में सरकारांे को रिझाने में लगी हुई हंै। यह भी दुर्भाग्यपूर्ण है कि पर्यावरण मन्त्रालय में अतिरिक्त सचिव रेंक के अधिकारी हेम पाण्डे की अध्यक्षता वाली जैव अभियान्त्रिकी अनुमोदन समिति ने दूसरे चरण में, मोइली के बाद और कई जी‐एम‐ फसलों के परीक्षण की अनुमति जारी कर दी है। इस केन्द्रीय समिति द्वारा प्रदेश मे भी तीन स्थानो पर जी‐एम‐ सरसो के परीक्षण की अनुमति दे दी है जिसे अविलम्ब वापस लेनी चाहिये।
स्वदेशी जागरण मंच, भारतीय किसान मंच, भारतीय मजदूर संघ, गा्रहक पंचायत, लघु उघोग भारती एवं सहकार भारती ने अपने संयुक्त वक्तव्य में केन्द्र सरकार से भी आग्रह किया है कि यू‐पी‐ए‐ के कार्यकाल में गठित विदेशी प्रभाववाली जैव अभियांत्रिकी अनुमोदन समिति केा पुर्नगठित किया जावे और यू‐पी‐ए‐ के कार्यकाल व उसके बाद में भी इस समिति द्वारा जिन जी‐एम‐ फसलांे के खुले परीक्षण की अनुमति दी गई है उस,े अविलम्ब वापस लिया जावे।
इन छ संगठ़नो की मांग है कि, सर्वाैच्च न्यायलय द्वारा गठित विशेषज्ञ समिति की अनुषंसा के अनुरुप, देश में जी‐एम‐ फसलांे के खुले परीक्षण पर पूर्ण प्रतिबन्ध लगाया जावे। वैज्ञानिक प्रयोगो की दृष्टि से यदि इन फसलो के कोई परीक्षण किये जाने है तो व,े पी‐वी‐सी‐ या काँच के ग्रीन हाउस में ही किये जाने चाहिये। अन्यथा, जी‐एम‐ फसलांे के खुले परीक्षण से जी‐एम‐ फसलांे के परागकणांे द्वारा देश की प्राकृतिक वनस्पति व कृषि जैव द्रव्य के प्रदूषित हो जाने का खतरा बना रहेगा। भारत जैसे देश की कृषि जैव सम्पदा प्रदूषित हो जाने के बाद, हमारे पास क्या विकल्प बचेगा? वस्तुतः, इन फसलांे से एलर्जी,आंतांे से रक्त स्त्राव एवं चूहांे में बन्ध्यापण जैसी अनेक समस्याऐं प्रकट हो चुकी है। इसलिए प्रकृति से छेड़छाड़ केे ऐसे खुले दुस्साहस से परीक्षणकर्ता वैज्ञानिको को विरत या दूर रहना चाहिये। इनके जो भी परीक्षण हो वे ग्रीन हाउस के बाहर कदापि नहीं होने चाहिये। भगवती प्रकाश शर्मा ने मांग की है कि प्रदेश के कृषि मंत्री द्वारा इन विवादित बीजो के परीक्षण की अनुमति नहीं दिये जाना प्रदेश के कृषि जैव द्रव्य की शुद्वता के लिए आवश्यक कदम है। स्वदेशी जागरण मंच सरकार के इस निर्णय का स्वागत करते हैं।
