In a bid to mobilise all the Anti- FDI in Retail groups working in India and outside, a big conclave was organised in Annexi Hall of Constitution Club on 7th May from 10 AM to 5 PM. In the thousand plus gathering of different stakeholders on this issue, the presence of about 150 organisations was a very singular achievement, Leader of the opposition in Rajya Sabha Arun Jaitlee delivered an erudite and logical presentation on the occasion and other General Secretary Murlidhar Rao and Dharmenra Pradan and secretary Bhupendra Yadav were also present with other all India functionaries. Biju Janata Dal six-time Member Parliament Dr. Prasnani assured all support on the issue on behalf of his party. Dr. Devinder Sharma, an eminent writer on the subject presented the world's experience against FDI.Yudhveer Singh, General secretary All India Kissan Union was present with a good number if farmer leaders from different corners of the country, a Ch. Krishanveer, farmer activist and intellectual delivered a firebrand speech charged with data on the subject. Sh. Sudhir Pawar, Sewa Singh Arya from Haryana, and Thakur Virender Singh gave a robust presentation about the ill effects of Walmartisation on the farmers. Similarly small and medium enterlrises were represented in a good number headed by All India general secretary of Laghu Udyog Bharti Jitendra Gupta from Bhopal. swadeshi Jagran Manch the host orgnisation was present with it's Convenor Arun Ojha and co-convenors Bhagwati Prakash Sharma and Saroj Mitra.
Sekhar Swami Director Hansa Group known for providing constant research on the subject also presented the Theme sOng on the Subject Jago. S. Gurumurthy, economic analyst, writer emphasised that the attack of FDI in retail was economic, cultural and social and suggested that all the three forces of the country should jointly fight the war. Two prominent traders Association of the country, All India Udyog Vyapaar Mandal and Confederation of All India Traders were represented by Shyam Bihari Mishra, President and Satish Garg Organising Secretary respectively and their teams. Different hawkers associations headed by Dharmender Sharma, Saudan Singh and RV Rajput were represented in a good number, BMS Zonal organising Secretary Pawan Kumar emphasised FDI in pension and Insurance issues also. the Student organisations including ABVP's All India Vice Presidet Umesh Sharma and Gopal Kumar from Patna gave a youthful look to the conclave. The speech of Milind Nagkarni, of International UNI Global Union distributed the ' Walmart's Global Record and the Implications for FDI in Multiple-Brand Retail in India' distributed the report to the participant and gave accounts full of horror of the atrocities of these retail giants to it's employees.

स्वदेशी जागरण मंच के तत्वावधान में व्यापारी, लघु और कुटीर उद्योग, कारीगर, ट्रांसपोर्टर, किसान, हाॅकर, मजदूर, छात्र एवं विभिन्न वर्गों के 150 से अधिक संगठन और 1000 से अधिक प्रतिनिधि दिल्ली के कांस्टीटयूशन क्लब में आयोजित इस जुटान में शामिल हुए। देश भर से आए हुए प्रतिनिधियों का यह जुटान यूपीए सरकार द्वारा खुदरा में एफ.डी.आई. की नीति के खिलाफ देश भर में आंदोलन की घोषणा करता है। इस जुटान का यह स्पष्ट मानना है कि इस यूपीए सरकार द्वारा खुदरा क्षेत्र को विदेशी कंपनियों के लिए खोलकर भारत के एक वृह्त खुदरा बाजार को विदेशी कंपनियों को सौपने का काम किया है। खुदरा में एफ.डी.आई. 1 करोड़ 20 लाख छोटी-बड़ी दुकानों में लगे 4 करोड़ लोगों के लिए ही घातक नहीं है बल्कि इस देश के करोड़ों मजदूरों, किसानों, ट्रांसपोर्टरों, लघु उद्यमियों और हाॅकरों के लिए भी मौत का पैगाम है।
इस जुटान का स्पष्ट मानना है कि खुदरा क्षेत्र में बहुराष्ट्रीय कंपनियां आने के बाद हिंसक कीमत नीति के माध्यम से छोटे व्यापारियों और हाॅकरों को प्रतिस्पद्र्धा से बाहर कर देगी। सारा सामान चीन और अन्य देशों से आयातित होगा और इस प्रकार करोड़ों मजदूरों और लघु उद्यमियों की रोजी-रोटी समाप्त हो जायेगी। किसानों का भी विविध प्रकार से शोषण होगा तथा नए रोजगार के अवसर समाप्त होने से देश का युवा वर्ग हताशा की ओर बढ़ेगा। देश का ट्रांसपोर्ट क्षेत्र भी बर्बाद हो जायेगा।
किसानों, मजदूरों, हाॅकरों, छोटे और थोक व्यापारियों, ट्रांसपोर्टरों का यह जुटान घोषणा करता है कि इस लड़ाई को राज्य और जिलास्तर पर जाकर लड़ा जायेगा। देश भर में राज्य और जिलास्तर पर इस प्रकार के जुटान आयोजित होंगे। खुदरा में एफ.डी.आई. के खिलाफ देश भर में रैलियां, पद-यात्राएं, धरने-प्रदर्शन, नुकड़ सभाएं आयोजित होंगे। हर गांव से, हर जिला से किसानों, मजदूरों, हाॅकरों, ट्रांसपोर्टरों, व्यापारियों, विद्यार्थियों के संगठनों के साथ मिलकर आगामी लोक सभा चुनावों में उन दलों को परास्त करने की रणनीति बनाई जायेगी जिन्होंने खुदरा क्षेत्र में विदेशी कंपनियों को संसद के अंदर प्रत्यक्ष और अप्रत्यक्ष रूप से भारत में घुसने का रास्ता दिया।
यह जुटान संकल्प लेता है कि अगली लोकसभा के गठन के बाद, कानून बदलकर खुदरा क्षेत्र में विदेशी कंपनियों को भारत भूमि से भगाने तक यह संघर्ष जारी रहेगा।
